On September 27, 2010 KUBE TV was born. The KUBE is one of nine English language stations in Houston. The KUBE is the only true independent in Houston.
Reaching potential viewers is a critical key to success. The KUBE is fully loaded and carried on every cable and satellite system, reaching the entire Houston region, which is made up of 19 counties. Cable reaches about 56% of the potential area viewers while alternative delivery systems reach about 28%. Houston saw the second biggest population jump in the country, as the population went up by more than 40,000 to 5.86 million people.
The KUBE is the only television station in Houston committed to high school sports. In January 2011, Todd Freed's High School SportZone launched and SEC Basketball debuted. Beginning in the fall of 2011, our Thursday Night football begins, featuring the premier high school football matchup every week.
Promotions include our Kash Kube – a money machine that will travel to different events and businesses for viewers to have a chance to grab cash.
The KUBE broadcasts award winning, family friendly programs and is Mom approved, Dad approved, and advertiser approved. This fall we will welcome Dr. Phil back to the Houston airwaves and Rachel Ray will bring her unique style on cooking and gab to the station. We are committed to the greater Houston area and look for multiple opportunities each year to embrace the community.
The KUBE is owned and operated by Titan Broadcast Management. With over 100 years of broadcast experience, they are the power behind the KUBE. Titan Broadcast owns and operates 13 TV stations across the U.S., with affiliates including Independent, Fox, the CW, CBS, and KDOC in Los Angeles.
